Dr. R. Prasanna is an accomplished Organic Chemist and R&D leader with deep expertise in API impurity synthesis, custom research projects, and process development for pharmaceutical applications. Prior to founding Sri Global Chemicals Private Limited, she worked in the API R&D division of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd., where she specialized in designing and preparing complex impurities, supporting regulatory submissions, and resolving plant-level challenges. Earlier, she contributed to API process research and the development of advanced intermediates at Orchid Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals, gaining hands-on experience in multipurpose synthetic plant operations and lab-to-plant scale project execution. Dr. Prasanna holds a Doctorate in Chemistry with specialization in Organic Synthesis from university of Madras and has completed postdoctoral research at IIT Madras under national fellowships. Her scientific contributions include peer-reviewed publications, patent involvement, and recognition in national scientific forums.
Prof. A.K. Mohanakrishnan serves as an Honorary Scientific Mentor to our company, offering independent academic guidance and strategic insights to support our industry-focused research, process development, and innovation initiatives. His association is purely advisory in nature and non-remunerative, and does not constitute an employment or formal appointment.
He brings over three decades of international research and academic leadership experience. He obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Madras and completed advanced postdoctoral research at premier institutions including NCL Pune, the University of Alabama (USA), Academia Sinica (Taiwan), Purdue University (USA), and National Tsing Hua University (Taiwan), developing extensive expertise in modern synthetic chemistry.
Prof. Mohanakrishnan has guided 18 Ph.D. scholars and authored over 100 peer-reviewed publications, significantly contributing to synthetic organic chemistry relevant to the pharmaceutical and fine chemical industries. His excellence has been recognized with the Outstanding Young Scientist Grant Award (2001), Best Researcher Award (University of Madras, 2018), and the UGC Midterm Research Career Award (2018).
Dr. Saravanan is an Associate Professor in the School of Chemistry at the University of Hyderabad with over 17 years of research experience. He earned his Ph.D. at IIT Madras and pursued postdoctoral research at eminent institutions in Germany (TU Darmstadt) and the Netherlands (University of Groningen). His expertise lies in biocatalysis, with a specialization in developing sustainable biocatalytic methods for the synthesis of APIs and fine chemicals.
He is associated with SRI Global Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. as an Academic Collaborator – Biocatalysis, where he provides advanced scientific insights and research guidance to strengthen the company’s innovation and development programs. His role is advisory in nature and does not involve any executive, financial, or administrative responsibilities
